"Hi, my name is Freya.
My mum is one of the goats that provides the fresh milk for your soap."
If you live in and around London and always wondered what our soap was like, well now here's your chance to find out. Our Goats Milk Soap will be available at this year's Oxford & Cambridge Goat Race. No you haven't read that wrong, I did say Goat Race!
Each year Spitalfields City Farm holds a Goat Race at the same time as the Oxford and Cambridge boat race. As the university teams are rowing their hearts out on the Thames, two gallant goats will race the length of the farmyard at Spitalfields City Farm in the East End of London. Decked out in the colours of the Oxbridge rivals, honour is very much at stake! :-)
This event is rapidly becoming a noteable date on the London scene and apparantly the farm was stuffed to capacity last year so we advise you to consider booking in advance on their Web site.
Although we can't be at Spitalfields this year, you'll find our Goats Milk Soap being sold by the volunteers on the fresh produce stall and…as we're not there in person to make a contribution, we've decided that for every bar sold we'll make a donation to the Spitalfields City Farm charity.
We think you should take the opportunity to try our natural handmade soap and help the great work of the City Farm at the same time.
There'll be a Golden Guernsey running this year and as we keep Golden Guernseys ourselves we have to admit we're biased in favour of the auburn temptresses. We hope they trounce the opposition whoever it may be! Judging by the golden girl coming second in last year's photo it seems our loyalties may be misplaced though. :-(
Whoever you're backing, why not have a look at the Goat Race Web site for more information…
We're always out and about so if you'd like us to attend your event please mail us at events@goatsmilksoap.co.uk

Our soap is vegetarian and made in the old-fashioned way using the 'cold process'.
Our soap is handmade from scratch from natural ingredients.
We do NOT use bought-in 'melt and pour' mixes that produce inferior 'instant' soap bars.
We do NOT use bought-in powdered goats milk.
The fresh goats milk we use comes from our own herd of rare-breed Golden Guernseys that graze on the rural pastures of Herefordshire. You can find out more about them on the Bluehills Herd web site.
