"Hi, my name is Freya.
My mum is one of the goats that provides the fresh milk for your soap."
Olive oil is believed to be one of the first oils to be used for soap making way back at the dawn of Mediterranean civilisation and the same olive oil soap is still used widely today.
In character it's a very hard and rustic looking bar that usually comes out with a colour anywhere from pale green to white. In use it's very mild indeed with little lather.
Because it's so soft and simple, olive oil soap has been used for just about every purpose over the years, from bathing children to washing clothes. Although you're free to use it however you want, we recommend it as a beauty soap that will soften and moisturise your skin.
We use Olive Oil as the main ingredient and add our own fresh goats milk to finish.
We use goats milk in the soap because it introduces several fatty-acids that are unique to goats milk. Although we make no medicinal claims whatsover for our soap it is widely regarded as an ingredient beneficial to people suffering from certain allegies or skin conditions.
The goats milk that lies at the heart of the soap comes from 'The Bluehills Herd', our own herd of Golden Guernsey goats. We milk the girls daily, filter and chill the milk and then use it straight in our soaps.
The recipe is vegetarian. The soap contains no animal tallow. The bar is unscented and contains no additives of any kind.
Ingredients: Olive Oil, Fresh Goats Milk. (Sodium olivate, Caprae lac.)
Weight: 120g ℮
Put your soap into this neat little net and use the exfoliating scrub on your skin as the lather froths out through the weave.
The nets can also be used to make use of those small pieces of soap that you might otherwise throw away. Just pop them all in the net together and you can use them down to the last bit.
As our soaps are made the traditional way, without additives, they're softer than commercial soaps you might find in the supermarket. We recommend you use a soap dish to hold your soap; it lets the soap dry out after use and keeps it firmer, longer.
Our Soap Ladders are made from sustainable hardwood.
A slatted wooden soap dish made from sustainable Birch wood. This is a lovely soap dish with a curved bottom that holds your soap well and lets the water run off after use. It keeps your bar nicely dry so it lasts longer.
Like our 'Milky Marvel' soap, this is plain, simple and uncomplicated. A white cotton face flannel that complements our goats milk soap.
The flannel is made from 400gsm Indian cotton and is 30cm×30cm. For those who prefer imperial measurements that's 12"×12".
Our face flannel has been doing so well that we couldn't resist adding a white cotton guest towel to our range.
As with the original flannel, the towel is made from 400gsm Indian cotton; it's size is 50cm×100cm, that's about 20"×40" in old money.

Our soap is vegetarian and made in the old-fashioned way using the 'cold process'.
Our soap is handmade from scratch from natural ingredients.
We do NOT use bought-in 'melt and pour' mixes that produce inferior 'instant' soap bars.
We do NOT use bought-in powdered goats milk.
The fresh goats milk we use comes from our own herd of rare-breed Golden Guernseys that graze on the rural pastures of Herefordshire. You can find out more about them on the Bluehills Herd web site.
